An opportunity has arisen for **Business Development Associate** to join our Commercial team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of this role is to Identify, develop, and secure profitable new business for WAE Technologies Limited from Motorsport and other sectors. Technology areas to include all areas of WAE’s offerings including HV Battery and Electrified propulsion systems, chassis, aero, homologation.

**Job role**:

- Customer portfolio development and bid documentation management and delivery.
- Proposal progression and responses as directed by Senior members of the Business Development Team.
- Contract negotiations as required.
- Develop, maintain, and manage client relationships.
- A comprehensive understanding of WAE’s technical and commercial offerings.
- Identifying and developing customer and programme leads in the Motorsport and other markets.
- Making initial approaches, understanding, and capturing customer requirements, preparing and presenting proposals, and maintaining post sale customer relationships.
- Producing proposals, working with internal technical, legal and commercial stakeholders to produce robust and clear technical, project management and commercial elements of the bid documentation.
- Conducting desk and customer driven market research and analysis to establish, document and maintain current market strategy and prioritized prospect lists.
- Maintaining awareness of WAE competitive landscape in the appropriate sectors.
- Contributing to the forecasting and achievement of revenue targets through the sales of products, technologies, and services in the agreed target markets.
- Drafting, preparing, and reaching agreement on commercial terms in association with the legal department.
- Developing relationships with new clients; managing relationships with current or previous clients and expanding existing relationships to drive increased revenue.
- Maintaining relevant entries in the CRM system to provide a running commentary on new and developing opportunities.
- Defining and supporting the development of effective marketing collateral associated with the promotion and sale of Williams Advanced Engineering products and services.
- Working with the rest of the business development team to incorporate customer demands into the company’s product and services offerings.
- Contributing to key industry event attendance and always representing the business professionally.
- Maintaining positive relationships with all other WAE departments and following the company’s health and safety policy.
- International and national travel to attend customer meetings and agreed events.
- Providing regular reports of a qualitative and quantitative nature on the progress of commercial activities and documenting and maintaining a prioritized prospects list to support the Business Development

**You’ll have**:

- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience of writing proposal documents and costing B2B quotations.
- Degree or equivalent in qualified in a related Engineering degree.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management and Engineering team.
