Marketing and Communications Executive

This is a **one-year post** with possible extension.

**Location**: Hybrid (Home with some presence in Belfast office required)

**Salary **- £28,000 (pro rata)

The successful applicant will provide marketing and communications support to the charity’s operations with a focus on the following areas; Digital & Social media, Content Development, Campaign management with all aspects of the marketing mix, publicity and fundraising.

**Essential Criteria**
- managing social media accounts
- managing websites
- generating content using a range of media.
- Experience, preferably in the charity sector, of managing and stimulating online. engagement, creating engaging content, answering requests, and using analytics to optimise outcomes and enhance user experience.
- Experience of writing, storytelling, designing, editing and proofreading across a range of media and channels.
- Experience of creating, implementing and evaluating marketing and communication campaigns.
- Proven Fundraising experience including event management.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in speaking publicly and representing organisations at events.
- A full driving licence and access to a car.

**Desirable Experience**
- Experience of managing large scale awareness campaigns.
- Experience of working with press and media and knowledge of the NI media landscape.
- Experience of growing online audiences.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and administration.
- A passion and affiliation for the work of the charity.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead on the charity’s awareness campaigns co-ordinating external providers, managing digital content and reporting on outcomes.
- Lead on planning and marketing for fundraising activity aiming to grow the charities income and diversify income sources.
- Manage the charity’s website and social media channels insuring these are kept up to date with regular, fresh content.
- Produce engaging multi-media content such as blogs, videos, newsletters, podcasts, news articles and both internal and external communications.
- Produce offline information materials such as the quarterly newsletter and fundraising appeals.
- Attend Trustee Meetings, Committee Meetings and Wellbeing Meetings as required.
- Participate in training courses related to the work of the charity.
- Work alongside other team members, supporting each other during busy periods and absences.
- Perform other associated tasks as considered necessary by the Trustees or Committee.
- Work closely with the charity’s administration officer to provide the best support for patients, carers and volunteers.
- The post may require attendance at evening or weekend events
- The post may need to provide holiday cover
