In January 2021, Bright Network established the Bright Network Technology Academy to close the digital skills gap & promote social mobility & diversity in engineering. We have purpose built a free-to-access 12-week bootcamp that trains graduates to become Full Stack Software Engineers in order to help them secure their first jobs. Since then, we've trained over 300 future tech leaders engineers & have deployed Software Engineers in some of the world's largest businesses

**The Role**:
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract to join Bright Network Technology Academy as an Assistant Trainer, where you'll support the training team in ensuring the smooth running of all day-to-day training operations for our bootcamp.

You'll collaborate the wider training & recruitment team members to ensure our trainees are provided with the optimal environment to learn & develop effectively over the course of the 12 weeks - ultimately enabling them to become fully-fledged junior Software Engineers at the end of the cohort and secure roles with our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to have a real impact on the future careers of hundreds of recent graduates wanting to get into technology

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure trainees are supported in technical aspects of the bootcamp through bug fixing & responding to technical questions
- Provide student feedback - through submitted work & 1:1s as required with the support of Trainers
- Work towards being able to hand out & review exercises with support from Trainers
- Organising & distributing submission forms for trainees to submit exercises
- Monitoring attendance & exercise submission - following up on unauthorised absences or missed submissions
- Collate trainee feedback - ensure we're continuously improving our bootcamp experience
- Gather information ahead of project demo days to build a running order and ensure details are communicated to relevant stakeholders
- Support the students in managing a social calendar, including organising their first social event and finding volunteers to maintain it
- Support on bootcamp recruitment & onboarding - supporting the delivery of assessment centres & gathering trainee details promptly ahead of each cohort start date

**Key Details**
- **Salary**: £30,000

- **Location**: London or Edinburgh - while we encourage you to work from either of our offices as much as you want, due to the nature of the bootcamp being fully virtual, you should be comfortable working remotely
