**Job description**:
As the Digital Hub Lead, within the centre of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Excellence, you will play a crucial part in supporting the agency's digital services and capabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass recruitment and retention, communication, learning and development, and governance within the Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) domain.

You will support DVSA to enable the business to attract and retain DDTS expertise. Working to strengthen the future facing attraction strategy that ensures that DVSA is able to attract the best talent.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Forging productive partnerships with external technology experts, ensuring cost-effective arrangements that deliver maximum value.
- Ensuring adherence to the DDaT profession framework, you will assist in auditing and controlling job descriptions across the family and collaborate with various stakeholders like directors, DDaT program board, HR, and others.
- Develop and implement an action plan to continuously improve the agency's adherence to the Government Functional Standard for Digital, Data, and Technology and the Cross Government Digital and Data Strategy.
- An integrated working approach with HR business colleagues on attraction, including building the DVSA brand in the DDaT Market place, and delivery of an Apprenticeship/Academy approach for DDTS skills development.

**Person specification**:
You have a pragmatic people first approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with varied stakeholders, in support of achieving positive Departmental and Agency outcomes. You will be able to think creatively to ensure that our DDTS teams are given high quality outcomes.

You have experience in a similar role, such as Management Support Office or attraction, recruitment or talent development.

You have experience in people management and development, with an understanding of the employee lifecycle. With experience of managing performance and driving change.

**Additional Information**

There will be occasional travel required with this role to other DVSA locations, including overnight stays.

This role can be based in Birmingham, Bristol, Chadderton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Swansea, where your presence at this location will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model that allows you to work between home and office locations, giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work.
