JMC are working with an **MRO **company based in **Chester**, looking to recruit a new S**afety & Compliance Engineer** to join their expanding team.

This is a full-time **permanent **position based in **Chester **working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Safety and Compliance Manager the Safety and Compliance Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the assurance of the Quality system in a Base maintenance environment, in accordance with the requirements of various regulatory bodies such as EASA Part 145, CAA & ISO.

Other Duties Involve
- Assisting in the maintenance of an audit plan that covers all regulatory requirements, details activities performed at all locations and contains sufficient information to determine the scope of audit and resource requirements
- Performing audits commensurate with the audit plan, ensuring that sufficient objective evidence is documented to demonstrate the scope and depth of the audit
- Monitoring and coordinating the response to compliance findings such that they are closed within the agreed timescales
- Performing analysis of compliance findings and associated causal factors against defined taxonomy to identify and communicate adverse trends
- Assisting with coordinating the receipt and processing of safety reports, submission to regulatory authorities and providing feedback to the reporter
- Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of control measures following safety events
- Assisting in the analasys of safety events and associated causal factors against defined taxonomy to identify and communicate adverse trends
- Assisting the Safety and Compliance Manager with the development of compliance and safety documentation
- Assisting with the promotion of compliance and safety issues within the company and to customers through the promulgation of appropriate media
- Assisting with Supporting Safety Action Groups (SAGs) with analytical data where necessary

The successful **Safety and Compliance Engineer** will be able to demonstrate the following **skills and attributes**:

- Experience in aviation, maintenance, safety and compliance environment
- Previous MRO experience desirable
- Demonstrable ability to conduct audits and will be audit trained.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of EASA Part 145
- Component/ workshop experience desirable
- Right to live and work in the UK
