**Front Of House / Customer Service Adviser required for a lovely cake shop on Wokingham Road, Reading.**

**FULL TIME - The minimum 5 days including weekend commitment required.**

**PART TIME - The minimum 3 days including weekend commitment required.**

Eggfree Cake Box is a company part of a large franchise which specialises in fresh cream celebration cakes. We are one of 100 plus branches in the UK and have excellent systems in place which is helping us grow even further.

**Front Of House Team Member**

We are looking for like-minded, enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team at the Front of House (FOH). It can be a fast pace environment but a fun place to work in. No previous experience is required as you will be trained and supervised from day one. We just require a keen attitude and a willingness to learn. **Experience of working in retail could be an advantage.**

Some of the Duties & Responsibilities include:

- Preparing the shop before opening
- Maintaining front of house cleanliness throughout the day
- Working in conjunction with our back of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards - decorating and replenishing cakes
- Keeping a check on quality of cakes leaving the shop
- Greet and deal with customers requests with a smile
- Serve customers and take payments using the cash register and card machine
- Taking cake orders from customers
- Answering the phone
- Learning how to write messages on cakes
- Boxing cakes and slices correctly
- Cashing up at the end of each day
- End of day cleaning with all staff, including mopping the floor
- Maintaining a clean working environment at all times to meet health and safety standards.
- Working well as an individual and with all members of the team from trainees, experienced staff to management

**Hours**:Generally 11:00 am - 7:30 pm (approx.) **Hours may vary**

The role may include working evenings, weekends public and bank holidays

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only
