Cheshire Scientific is a UKAS accredited laboratory providing testing services across a range of industries in the UK and further afield. Having grown our testing business considerably over the past few years we are now in need of an enthusiastic and flexible new member to join our busy sample reception team. Attention to detail is important, as booking in is the first stage of a highly skilled procedure ensuring that our clients receive their reports in a timely manner. Using bespoke laboratory management system software, samples are logged onto the system, allocated tests and sent through to the lab for processing. Good knowledge of word and Excel would be an advantage although not necessary. As a laboratory we operate 365 days per year for a minimum of 12 hours per day, the current vacancy is for 24 hours per week, it will however include working every Saturday. Monday - 9-5 / Wednesday - 2-6 / Thursday - 8:30 - 6 Saturday 8:30 - 1. Sample reception is open from 8 till 6 Monday to Friday and 9-1 on Saturdays. The successful applicant will be expected to cover on other days during busy periods and during the summer holidays.
