Sleaford, United Kingdom Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are excited to advertise this newly created role in our Children & Young People's Complex Needs Service (CNS).

You will work alongside colleagues in the CNS to develop and deliver training packages to professionals in our partner agencies. The aim will be to help other professionals develop knowledge and understanding of child emotional development; to consider the impact of trauma and abuse; so that those professionals may develop understanding of a young person’s presenting difficulties so that they can be supported in the most helpful way.

The CNS provides support to professionals working with some of the most vulnerable young people who may present with complex and multiple needs. These include children in residential care; children and young people on the edge of care; young people who have left care; children and young people who are involved with the Youth Offending Service; those at risk of exploitation and extra-familial harm; and children who present harmful sexual behaviours.

CNS clinicians work closely with a wide range of services including Lincolnshire County Council’s Future4Me Service, Children's Services, Barnardo’s Leaving Care Service, and LPFT Children & Young Peoples Services staff. The type of support offered by the CNS utilises a trauma-informed approach and includes consultation, formulation, supervision, assessment and direct work where appropriate, supporting young people to access mainstream services, and training.
- You will create and review evidence-based training sessions and workshops, for a range of professionals including those working within LPFT’s CYP services, LCC’s Children's Services, Future4Me staff, Education and Barnardo’s Leaving Care Service.
- You will proactively plan groups, workshops and training based on previous and predicted service need. This will involve proactively gathering and reviewing feedback to inform development of interventions and training.
- You will contribute to the development and upkeep of the LPFT website to support families and professionals
- You will ensure best practice by incorporating NICE guidance and meeting healthcare standards and contribute to the development of the service, participating in team discussions and decision making through attendance at team meetings.
- You will receive management supervision and participate in clinical supervision and performance appraisals and will support the training needs of other staff in the service.
- You will work closely with the other staff when developing training (e.g. Clinical Psychology; Harmful Behaviour lead), supporting the Team Coordinator when required.
