**Information Management Technical Officer x 2**

**1 Permanent role.**

**1 Fixed Term Contract - 12 months.**

**About the Role**:
Information Governance relates to all Council areas and this role concentrates on the timely facilitation of requests for information under several key pieces of legislation. The post holder is responsible for dealing with complex enquiries and providing advice and guidance to employees, the public and Councillors in relation to Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Environmental Regulations.

This team helps support the statutory function of The Data Protection Officers and mitigates the risk of reputational and monetary fines from the Regulator and The Information Commissioner.

This role is the primary contact for all schools who have SLAs in relation to the Data Protection Service the Council offers and needs to work to the timescales detailed in the SLAs.

You will be responsible for the timely recording of security incidents and for overseeing the end-to-end process for dealing with all reported incidents and this role is crucial to help establish and maintain excellent Information Management across Council services.
