We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Officer/Buyer to join our fast paced and dynamic Procurement team.

On a day to day basis, your primary role will be to support the Category Managers, maximising supplier performance and ensuring equipment and materials are available for LiveWest Operations. You will be responsible for the buying of specialist materials and services, purchasing of equipment and power tools, negotiating, and maintaining our product pricing portfolios, supplier performance management and ensuring suppliers adhere to relevant regulations and our values.

For this position, it is essential that you are able to build strong working relationships as you will be liaising with stakeholders and assisting in managing all elements of procurement processes and maintaining systems, including sourcing and procuring.

This role is being offered on a **full time**, **permanent **basis and will be based in our **Exeter** office. A hybrid working style is an option.

To be considered for the role of Procurement Officer, you will be / have:

- Experience of administering all aspects of procurement procedures and systems maintenance, ideally with experience of sourcing and procuring within a public sector environment.
- Good level of understanding of equalities and diversity as applied to the service.
- Knowledge of the Social Housing Sector. (D)
- Knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations. (D)
- Awareness of building construction and maintenance materials and fittings. (D)
- Excellent IT skills - proficient in the use MS Office.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a motivated and proactive approach in all areas of work.
- Experience within a purchasing, stock control or materials management environment.
- Extensive experience in public sector/construction/building maintenance.
- Experience of working in a repairs and maintenance environment. (D)
- Tenacity for delivery and personal accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
