**Job Title** MoJ Counter Fraud Senior Lead

**Purpose**

Reporting to the MoJ Counter Fraud Head of Operations, but working independently, this role provides support to the MoJ Counter Fraud Centre of Expertise and an assurance and advisory function within the MoJ against the threat of fraud, bribery and corruption to the MoJ and the appropriate response.

The role is responsible for working with key stakeholders across MoJ and managing the relevant Service Level Agreements.

This role contributes to the MoJ Strategy, in creating a unified and responsive department collaborating with partners across the justice system and government and creating an integrated MoJ that takes a whole system approach to decision making, working with our partners in an open and outward facing way.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the MoJ Counter Fraud Head of Operations in the delivery of the MoJ strategy and management of fraud, bribery and corruption risk.
- Advise and support stakeholders on the direction of complex investigations, both internal and external, to establish routes for resolution through misconduct, contractual, civil and criminal routes.
- Deliver improvement activity, including risk assessment, through influencing and advising MoJ stakeholders.
- Support MoJ to ensure effective systems are in place to recover any money identified as being potentially paid out fraudulently.
- Working with change programmes and projects to identify fraud risks, control issues and opportunities to implement designs that reduce the risk of fraud bribery and corruption.
- Prepare papers and briefings on fraud issues for senior management within the MoJ.
- Support the MoJ Counter Fraud Centre of Expertise in the development and delivery of fraud awareness materials and activity.
