The post holder will fulfil the four core elements of a Head of Service role: Expert clinical practice; professional leadership and consultancy; education, training and development; and strategic development and evaluation to further develop nurse led clinical practice to meet the needs of patients with any TV care needs.

Be accountable for effective, strategic leadership of the development and delivery of Tissue Viability (TV) and Lower Limb Therapy Service (LLTS) Patient pathways across the Integrated Care Organisation, hereto referred to at the ICO

Manage own workload and oversee workload across the ICO. to include external partnerships, to improve services and develop practice

Provide effective clinical leadership working at an advanced level of nursing practice using complex reasoning, critical thinking, reflection and analysis

Promote public health and well-being, understanding the social, economic and political context of healthcare delivery

Be a clinically grounded, expert in the forefront of the field of TV/LLT and have established knowledge and skills being able to actively influence and contribute to the wider TV/LL national and local agendas.

Carry a corporate nursing portfolio relevant to the role and skills held, in particular acting as a clinical lead for pressure ulcer prevention across the ICO and wider healthcare settings as required and supporting Specialist nursing roles across Community settings.
- To oversee the TV and LLTS and ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored with actions' taken, where required, to address any shortfalls
- To oversee the TV and LLTS budget within agreed financial envelop and contribute to organizational budgetary requirements
- To monitor and develop the managed dressings service and report against KPI's to relevant stakeholders
- To oversee staffing groups across TV and LLTS
- To monitor service provision across both TV (acute and community) and LLTS teams by attending and supporting clinics as required
- To Chair relevant meetings as required and deputize for the Associate Director of Nursing and Professional Practice as required

This is a unique opportunity to work within an Integrated Care Organization as the Head of Tissue Viability services across both acute and community settings for both TV and LLT services

This is a nurse led service which is driven to provide excellence in practice, feeding into the Quality and Safety agendas, whilst ensuring services are co-designed with the patient at the heart of care delivery

This specialist role feeds into the building a brighter future vison for the ICO with place based care being central to service development moving forwards
