**Job summary**:
We are looking for someone with excellent strategy skills to join the Housing Supply Strategy Team. You will work with teams across the department to deliver the Government’s housing supply strategy, including our ambition to deliver 300,000 homes a year in England and wider work to ensure we have a diverse and competitive housebuilding market that works for everyone.

This is an impactful role in a high-profile area, addressing one of the defining issues of our time: the cost and availability of housing. The Housing, Markets & Strategy Directorate sits at the heart of the department’s Regeneration, Housing and Planning Group. The Directorate is responsible for some of the most high-profile issues across Government, including delivering the homes the country needs. **Job description**:

- Support Ministers and senior officials by drafting high-quality advice, briefings and correspondence on the government’s housing supply strategy.
- Contribute to the development and design of the Government’s housing supply work, developing and assessing the options, and reach decisions on key policy questions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the department, including private office, analysts and relevant policy leads.
- Gather and analyse data, evidence and stakeholder insight to understand opportunities and challenges for increasing housing supply.
- Lead policy projects to respond to emerging issues, events, and new priorities in the context of DLUHC’s strategies for increasing housing supply.
- Help to lead the relevant governance, including acting as secretariat the Supply Oversight Group.
