This is an exciting opportunity to join our Field-based Claims team as a **Field Insurance Advisor **on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will require you to visit customers where additional support is required, including vulnerable customers and other ad-hoc visits.
**The role**:
You'll manage Home, SME & Commercial claims and you'll conduct on-site customer visits, assess digital evidence, and support PR opportunities identified in connection with Surge Events and DLG response, where insured properties have been impacted. Your commitment to exceptional customer service will result in outstanding Net Promotor Scores.
You must live in and around the **South East**, the **Midlands **or **Peterborough**, as this is where your customers will be based and your on-site visits will take place.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Achieve and exceed important business metrics
- Take responsibility and accountability for Home and Commercial claims
- Potential to retain claims exceeding Delegated Authority under the supervision of Technical & Large Loss teams
- Identify the most suitable claims settlement solutions for our customers, utilising our supply chain
- Ensure compliance with company rules, encompassing policy coverage, indemnity, record management, reserving, diary management, process activities, repudiations, recoveries, payments, and GDPR
- Collaborate with our Disaster Restoration and Recovery teams to validate field visit-required claims, ensuring control of indemnity costs and supporting the customer journey
- Provide support for Customer Relations when field visits are necessary for resolving complaints
- Take ownership of informal complaints regarding claims, summarise and assist with formal Commercial complaints to facilitate resolution
- Determine necessary rectification works and act as the point of technical referral for any variation, in scope of the work required
- Support Home and Commercial claims involving subrogated recovery elements by carrying out investigations and providing information relevant to possible recovery opportunities
- Maintain relationships with Operational areas, aiding office-based Home and Commercial claims handlers where required
- Provide technical support to Area Managers, aiding in the maintenance of working relationships with our Home Repair Network
- Follow the principles of Consumer Duty
- Take ownership for developing and maintaining your own capabilities
- Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business, appropriate to the role and following the DLG risk framework
**What you'll need**:
- Experience in Field adjusting, Home, SME & Commercial policy interpretation
- Experience working within a Commercial and Domestic background
- An understanding of current construction methodology
- Located in and around the South East, the Midlands or Peterborough
- Previous knowledge and experience of Insurance Claims
**Ways of Working**:
You will be predominantly home working but from time to time we may ask you to come into one of our offices for meetings or collaboration sessions.
