Alternative Heat specializes in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of Off-site Prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout Ireland, UK and mainland Europe. Through continuous investment within our teams, and our facilities, we have grown strongly over the years and established ourselves as a market leader within the offsite pre-fabrication industry throughout Ireland and the UK.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will be an essential part of the team, supporting our business needs and progressing your career.

**Job Title** | Purchasing Administrator
|
**Location** | Head Quarters - Banbridge, Co Down
|
**Hours** | 38 hrs per week. 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon to Thurs & 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday
|
**Salary** | Competitive depending on experience
|
**Responsible to** | Head of Procurement
**Key Responsibilities**:
- To provide full administration support to a busy purchasing department
- Process and record a large number of documents daily, including uploading purchase orders to project folders.
- To be responsible for all paperwork relating to incoming / outgoing deliveries including all necessary customs declarations
- To provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data / trends
- Completing new supplier vendor forms
- Maintain procurement systems and ensure compliance with the agreed procedures.
- Working as part of a team and on own initiative to ensure that all information is correct and accurate on all systems.
- Attending meetings, noting, and recording minutes of key discussions and decisions made.
- To maintain high standards of work within the department.
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
**Essential Criteria**:
- Good Microsoft Office skills - to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company.
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar administration role
- Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication & literacy skills.
**Desirable Criteria**:
- An understanding of mechanical and electrical materials within the construction/engineering sector
- Previous experience working in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing background.

Located centrally between Dublin and Belfast our 8.5 acre Head Office and feabrication facilities, which are fully equipped with overhead cranes and 8,000m² of workshop floor area, provide an ideal factory construction environment which is reflected in the high quality solutions we offer.
We employ a strong team of design engineers, CAD technicians, contracts managers and skilled trades personnel who utilise their vast industry experience to assist in the design, fabrication and delivery of our bespoke MEP solutions, which we supply throughout the UK and Ireland.
