The Digital Solutions Team is looking for an innovative, enthusiastic, and versatile Fleet Data Team Leader who will help continue to drive Siemens Energy business forward in growing the data analytics offerings, development, and fleet data (maintenance) supporting the vision of “Data As A Service”

Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, this is a key role to ensure becomes a truly data-driven business, aligned with the Siemens Energy strategic data initiatives.

The position covers engagement across various levels of the organisation with the focus on fleet data, fostering data culture as well as leading a diverse team of data professionals.

**Your profile**
- Ability to lead and line-manage the Fleet Data team, including permanent, contractor and virtual resources to drive performance excellence, continuous improvement, and mentoring talent, and ensure business continuity
- Demonstrates a combination of a business focus, data strategy, and data analytics leadership, effective people management skills with highly developed business acumen
- Passionate about data and analytics and driving data quality & value across all areas of the business
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships across multiple Siemens Energy sites and with multi-discipline teams to deliver results
- Efficient at communication at different levels of organisation and articulating data concepts to business users in clear engaging terms
- Ensure close collaboration between the Data Governance team, Systems and Digital Innovation teams of the Digital Solutions department, as well as with the IT Business Partner
- Attention to detail and an appreciation for data and process improvement

**Experience and Qualifications:/ Will be preferred**
- At least 4 years of prior experience in Data services environment
- Experience in the O&G / Power Generation industry
- Familiar with relevant ISO 14224 & IEEE 762 standards
- Familiar with the concepts of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communications skills
- Proficient in technology tools, including Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience leading diverse teams. Ability to deliver results by motivating and enabling teams to deliver to their strengths and passionate about creating a great work culture
- Prior experience and expertise in Data Management
- Experience of service and delivery for both internal and external customers
- Strong prioritisation, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, multitasking, and organisational skills
- Knowledge of the data-relevant legislation, such as GDPR, data privacy, data governance and principles of Export Controls Compliance (ECC) an advantage
- Knowledge of process improvement and AGILE methodology, ITIL an advantage
- Knowledge of ETL, Data Lakes and Data Warehousing, BI Reporting delivery processes is not mandatory but will be an advantage

**Key Responsibilities**
- The Fleet Data Team Lead needs to be a creative thinker who proactively proposes innovative ways to improve our processes to ensure delivery of fleet data quality in the business of Siemens Energy, ensuring that the business data is robustly managed, continually enhanced and delivers value.
- Lead an effective and efficient team of data analysts ensuring there is a clear understanding of the data to support the identification of root causes for data sourcing gaps and data quality issues
- Guiding and training the team on best practices and new processes and priorities
- Developing new processes and procedures, workflows, technology, tools, and sources to constantly improve the quality, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of data delivery, identify and implementation of SLA’s & KPI’s
- Conducting quality checks to ensure the accuracy of the data
- Oversee all operational aspects of the fleet data & data quality improvement
- Drives continuous improvement (CI) to establish standardisation of processes and introductions of best practices. Leads / sponsors continuous improvement projects on data quality
- Work alongside the Data Management Lead to ensure the right level of governance, validation and performance reporting exists for each of the data supply chains to support quality and robustness of the data
- Define key data supporting strategic goals and formalise the data supply chains landscape/source of data with clear ownership and responsibilities.
- Identify and establish a community of Data Champions/Sponsors within, to develop data service agreements and automated retrieval methods, driving data requirements, quality and building continual trust and confidence
