We are an online retailer in the automotive space, we own three brands - Van Demon, NOMAD and Car Mat Co - and sell direct-to-consumer through a variety of sales channels.

**The role**:
Reporting to the Head of Trading, as Demand Planner you will be responsible for ensuring we have the right products at the right time, proactively using data and analysis to maximise performance for all products. This is all underpinned by driving excellence, profitability and growth to support the overall business.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Utilise historical data, market trends, and sales inputs to forecast demand for products
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for short and long-term planning
- Regularly review and adjust forecasts based on market dynamics, promotions, and other relevant factors
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure alignment with demand forecasts
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
- Implement inventory optimisation strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory
- Place purchase orders with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels
- Work closely with teams to understand market demand and promotional activities
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to address issues, manage expectations, and foster strong relationships
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for product launches, promotions, and inventory clearance
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover and availability
- Generate reports and provide insights to management on inventory trends, risks, and opportunities
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong experience in demand planning management, ideally within an eCommerce environment
- Experience of working with both domestic and international suppliers would be beneficial
- Automotive preferred but not essential so long as you can demonstrate strong understanding of best practice and a good track record of delivering success
- Competent in all areas of product forecasting and inventory control principles
- Commercially aware with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to successfully multitask across projects and prioritise workload across long-lead and real time demands
- Able to identify potential supply problems and solutions
- A passionate, positive, tenacious and resilient attitude and a mindset that constantly looks for opportunities to improve
- Accurate and methodical with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills - strong relationship builder and communicator
- Willing to go the extra mile to ensure requirements are met
- Able to identify, communicate and resolve issues that may cause risk to others or the company

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
