Job summary Mid Cheshire NHS Hospitals Foundation Trust will develop a new health and care neighbourhood, which will include our new Leighton Hospital in Crewe.

You could be part of our programme, as Principal Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our programme, and will provide senior analytical support to the Healthier Futures team, leading on work which supports demand and capacity modelling and strategic and operational transformation opportunities within the programme, to ensure that the hospital is rightsized for the local population.
Main duties of the job The postholder will lead on the delivery of complex analytical projects, managing stakeholders, timelines, and resources to ensure impactful outcomes.
A key aspect of the role will be identifying and promoting areas of best practice to support the Trust in meeting its Healthier Futures activity planning assumptions, which assume significant transformation in models of care and reducing unwarranted variation.
By combining technical expertise, innovative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of healthcare data, you will drive evidence-based insights that enhance patient care and organisational performance while championing sustainable improvements.

Job description Job responsibilities Represent the Healthier Futures Programme on all matters relating to information and data analysis, capacity and demand planning, and systems and governance at meetings, workshops and seminars held at National, regional and ICB level, either within the NHS or with other health care organisations including General Practice, Social Services, Local Authority, Ambulance Service, etc.
Work with Clinical Leads within the Trust to increase clinical engagement in the performance and information agendas.
Provide highly developed expert specialist support and advice on effective data and statistics use to support all aspects of care, long term service planning, organisation wide policy-making and accountability.
Apply a range of statistical practices, advise on best practice and guide others to a high standard.
Integrate qualitative and quantitative data to augment analysis, develop complex models and devise hypotheses for testing.
Collaborate with external partners and the wider analytics community on advanced modelling techniques, critically review models produced, and recommend improvements to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
Oversee the development and maintenance of a performance measurement framework to support the Healthier Futures Programme, including providing specialist advice on metrics related to Health Inequalities and Population Health.
Work in partnership with the ICB/S, local authorities and voluntary sector organisations to provide broader social and economic analysis.
Work with the wider Information Department to scope, design, test, and deploy business intelligence reports, information reporting systems, integrated and automated dashboards and query tools required to support the Healthier Futures Programme.
Analyse highly complex statistical and analytical data and provide both verbal and written synopsis highlighting associated issues and relevant solutions.
Deliver comprehensive formal presentations to large groups of a mixed audience, turning complex data analyses into clear and compelling messages.
Appraise the accuracy and quality of a range of data ensuring that data is fit for the intended analysis and that the analytical products are suitable for their audience.
Review the use of analytical tools ensuring available software is fully utilised to support performance reporting.
Appraise new analytical tools and software ensuring the organisation is aware of reporting developments.
Fully absorb, interpret and understand current data definitions and national guidance in order to support the understanding of emerging national focus.
The duties of the post will require intensive use of bespoke information reporting systems and various discrete, patient-based networked information systems.
Person Specification Qualifications and Training Essential Relevant qualification to masters level or equivalent experience Relevant professional qualification, eg MRICS Recognised Project Management qualification ( PRINCE2 Practitioner) or relevant experience Knowledge and Skills Essential Knowledge and understanding of the New Hospital Programme Knowledge of the NHS Strong visible leader Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong collaborator and fosterer of teamwork Desirable Demonstrable coaching experience Experience Essential Experience in NHS or other politically high-profile organisations Subject matter expertise across a number of key areas relating to Contract Management; Evidence of post qualification experience in Construction or Professional Services with evidence of a Commercial and Contractual bias Extensive experience in a variety of Procurement and Contracting models and specifically in Construction NEC based contracting environments, using a range of reimbursement models.
