**The Division**

The H&S department aims to be a proactive H&S support function for all four of the NSS Group’s subsidiaries ensuring a positive H&S culture and the ongoing health, safety and welfare of all 600 employees.

**The role**:

- Hybrid role including Office (Slough), Home working and site visits (South/Southwest UK/Midlands)
- Approx. 50/50 desk-based/site visits
- Promote the organisations H&S policies and procedures.
- Maintain and improve the organisations positive H&S culture.
- Support the organisation on all H&S matters Empower and aid continuous improvements in relation to H&S.
- Undertake training to develop competence and CPD

**Your job will include**:

- Undertake site audits, desktop audits and internal management system audits
- Working at height activities
- Produce risk assessments and complete reviews regularly Identify and regularly review procedures to prevent injury and / or ill health to personnel and damage to equipment
- Communication and consultation with employees on all matters in relation to H&S
- Investigating accidents, dangerous occurrences and review trend analysis and recommend means of preventing reoccurrence.
- Produce reports for accident / incident analysis and recommendations
- Enforce legal compliance affecting Health, Safety and Welfare and the provision of adequate welfare facilities
- Compliance checks on equipment and PPE Review safety legislation register, codes of practice and new safety literature
- Sub-contractor H&S reviews
- Assist with PQQ’s and attend client H&S reviews
- Administration of accreditation bodies online systems and prequalification questionnaires
- Regularly review any training needs from around the organisation
- Ensuring maintained CPD with relevant professional bodies
- Consider the environmental impact of all activities & reduce carbon footprint.

**Essential Experience**:

- Site Audit and Inspections
- Producing and reviewing risk assessment, policies, procedures and safe systems of work
- Accident and Incident reporting and investigation

**Desirable Experience**:

- Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Working at heights
- Good communication at all levels within an organisation and customers
- Delivery of toolbox talks, bulletins and other forms of communication
- Use of IT systems such as Outlook, Word, Excel
- Use of auditing programs such as iAuditor
