**Job summary**:
The Office for Students is the independent regulator of higher education in England. Collaborating and supporting colleagues to develop our Access and Participation policy, work on the assessment for funding programmes, engage with a spectrum of stakeholders and develop your project management skills whilst working on a range of activities.
**Job description**:
Identifying and promoting effective practice in relation to access, participation and outcomes, you’ll use information to prepare a range of formal and informal documents that will then be used to share best practice with our stakeholders.
Negotiating and influencing stakeholders to ensure team objectives are delivered, we’ll also expect you to work collaboratively and creatively with your colleagues to resolve a wide range of competing demands.
**Person specification**:
With the ability to think logically and use different types of information to relating to policy positions and strategy, you should be ready to make sound, balanced judgements based on evidence.
Capable of disseminating knowledge of Access and Participation activities throughout the Directorate, you will have confidence in sharing your area(s) of expertise while learning from others.
You demonstrate good awareness of internal and external factors which may affect your own areas of work, and possess a good understanding of links to other work areas and priorities.
Always ready to identify and manage risks to plans and delivery of your own and wider work plans, you are able to suggest solutions when issues arise.
Thriving in a fast-moving environment while consistently delivering to a high standard, you’ll have a confident and co-operative approach to everything you do and be ready to work effectively with people at all levels to build positive working relationships.
An influencer and communicator with good writing skills, your ability to synthesize information will allow you to produce clear, credible advice that reflects and supports our goals.
