An opportunity has arisen within NHS Orkney’s Facilities Services for a Travel Administration Supervisor to support the smooth and efficient operation of NHS Orkney’s Travel arrangements for Staff and Patients.

As Travel Administration Supervisor you will be responsible for administering all travel arrangements both for our patients and staff. With significant volumes of patient treatments happening out with The Balfour, we seek an enthusiastic individual who is both strong on customer care as well as enjoys working in a busy office environment. As Travel Team Supervisor this post will be responsible for supervising the staff, planning the workload, planning leave and/or cover to ensure there is sufficient cover in the department.

You will act as the main point of contact for those requiring travel arrangements. The travel arrangements are mainly electronic, and your computer knowledge must be sound to ensure you are able to maintain our monitoring systems and databases for recording purposes, data control and policy compliance.

Applicants should have strong interpersonal and communication skills and have previous experience in administration and computing. The ability to work with data as well as meeting deadlines is essential. Knowledge of the travel industry would be an advantage. HND or equivalent in business administration or other relevant qualification/equivalent experience is desirable.
