We have a current opportunity for a Technical Officer on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Edinburgh and hybrid working available but need to be in the office at least 3 times a week

The main focus for the **Technical Officer** post is as follows:

- responsible for ensuring assets are maintained to agreed standards of service delivery.
- ensuring that all void and reactive maintenance, together with planned and cyclical maintenance, is applied throughout the Association's properties, all in accordance with the regulatory compliance, our policies and procedures and the departments' objectives.
- delivery of effective and efficient asset management
- pre-inspection checks, identifying works to be carried out and allocating these works to the appropriate contractor, including on void properties.
- collaborate with colleagues in Housing, finance and Assets,
- undertake post-inspections to ensure any snagging has been identified and that the works have been completed
- contractor management, ensuring that all legal and statutory obligations are adhered to.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Excellent office/ICT skills in relevant software
- Ability to deliver excellent levels of customer service at all times
- Working hours 9-5 Mon-Thurs, 9-430 Friday (34.5 hours),
- hybrid working available but need to be in the office at least 3 times a week

Experience Required:

- experience in property maintenance in the social housing sector
- ability to control & deliver projects/works to cost, quality & time
- experience and understanding of SHQS
- contractor management
- experience of delivering housing capital programmes

This will initially be for a 3 - 4 month placement.
