Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has exciting opportunities for 2 HR Advisors to work as part of an absence management taskforce on a fixed term basis for 6 Months.
The postholders will work as part of the HR Operational service in an exciting new team established to reduce sickness absence rates within the Specialist Mental Health Care groups. The postholders can work either on a part time or full time basis, working in a proactive way alongside established HR team members and ward and resource managers. The role would involve advising on policy steps and providing crucial administrative support to ensure absence management procedures are implemented.
To act as a first point of contact for managers and staff (non-medical) providing HR advice and guidance with absence management and refer more complex queries to Assistant HR Business Partners as appropriate.
Examples (but not limited to) of HR queries include
- Advising on Wellbeing and Sickness Absence Policy and procedures
- Drafting Letters and hearing reports (templates provided)
- Running reports from attendance line and highlighting triggers and identifying patterns
- Advice on reasonable adjustments
- Advice on Access to work including the procurement of equipment
- Promote good people management practice and ensuring Occupational Health pathways are followed

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
