We’re looking for a Group Health & Safety Manager to join an impressive manufacturing business in Rochdale. You’ll be part of the Group Engineering team working across sites throughout Oldham, and the Rochdale area.

**What You Get**:

**About the job**:

- Full health and safety remit within the Group including your own department budget.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company health and safety procedures, such as accident reporting, risk assessments, fire drills and managing external contractors on site.
- Demonstrate environmental awareness around production processes by implementing controls to minimise impact.
- You’ll identify training needs, create training plans and implement and record.
- Actively contribute to management meetings, providing reports for review.
- Working with managers on site, you’ll get involved with compiling Standard Operation Procedure and Risk Assessment for equipment.
- You’ll facilitate external audits and fulfil document management requirements.

**About you**:

- You’ll have the IOSH managing safely certificate, or an equivalent qualification.
- It is preferable if you have previous experience within têxtile manufacturing.
- An effective team member, you’ll strive to deliver on company performance and achieve targets.
- You’ll be committed to your own professional development.
- You’ll be people-centric and want to bring the best out of those around you and have demonstrable experience of managing people.
- Your communication and influencing skills are great strengths of yours
- You’ll have a full driving licence and use of a car for occasional travel between locations.
- Due to the nature of the role, you’ll have a flexible approach to the needs of the business and 'out of hours’ working when required.
