The Support Time and Recovery Worker (STaR) role involves providing support, giving time to an allocated group of service users who are experiencing mental health problems and thus promoting recovery. They work within the MDT framework supporting care co-ordinators and providing a mentoring relationship for service users, carers and family.

We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate person who has a good knowledge of the issues of working with people aged 14 years to 65 years experiencing psychosis and /or complex mental health issues.

You will be a caring and positive thinking practitioner who ideally has experience of working with people individually and in groups. The service is a well-established with a clinical team that has an excellent reputation.

There are opportunities to play a key role in on-going development and being involved in a range of service innovations. All staff have regular access to on-going support, supervision and development opportunities

The STaR role includes aiding Service Users in accessing opportunities and services which may include housing, benefits, employment, Citizens Advice Bureau, refugee organisations etc.

The role is integral to the delivery of care and will need to provide regular feedback to the Multidisciplinary Team.

This is a fulltime post (WTE 1.0) working Monday to Friday, 9-5 hours.
