Inventory Control Specialist
Location - Crewe
Salary -£13.85 per hour
Duration - 6 months initially with potential to extend further
Hours
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Summary of an Inventory Control Specialist

In this role you will manage dead/obsolete stock. Working closely with depots and the commercial teams. Ensure stock optimization across the entire supply chain and manage the re-deployment of dead/excess stock where practicable.

Responsibilities of an Inventory Control Specialist
- Responsibilities of the asset team include: MRP reviews, High demands, using STIP to change customer SCN, Workbooks and AACs from commercial team for approval, hold stock, deleted lines, material extensions, development of weekly test requirements to ensure that assets are in the right place to allow customers’ orders and agents STO’s to be replenished, Cancelled process order reports
- Control the traded process, ensuring cylinders in correct locations to send to be filled, controlling customs paperwork in line with the Brexit guidelines, running weekly reports and leading weekly meetings with the commercial team and resolving issues such as out of test stock, liaising with vendors to arrange testing of said products Drive improvements to ensure that the region is supplied to meet demand
- Manage the Calor process, proactively running reports, creating orders, invoice queries, dealing with agent support and order management when required to ensure we have cylinders in the correct locations and keeping track of empties, attending/leading meetings to discuss the propane fleet and working with Calor and procurement to resolve any issues relating to any shortfalls. Forecasting future requirements, seasonal increases and decreases
- Drive improvements to ensure that the region is supplied to meet demand
- Dealing with shipping to and from the UK to Keumiee, Dublin, and Various locations for DA, including manual scheduling of products moving between the sites and all associated customs, ferries, and queries relating to this
- Scheduling of PG Depots and Sales Centres
- regular liaison with drivers & transport management team
- review and investigation of trip issues
- review & investigation of delivery failures
- Booking of ferries and customs paperwork in line with Brexit Procedures

Key competencies of an Inventory Control Specialist
- G.C.S.E Math, English and Science min grade C
- Excellent PC skills with previous experience and knowledge of SAP
- Capable of effective decision making in a pressured time constrained environment
- Proactive and takes ownership for tasks, from initiation through to conclusion
- Ability to follow processes logically & methodically

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
