**Purpose of the role**

Reporting to the Business Change Manager, you will be a vital part of the Business Change team, working across the business with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

The role provides a unique opportunity at a critical time for the function, as we continue to develop our Change identity and embed Business Change both strategically and operationally within the firm. The role will be focused on building our change capabilities through change delivery and working with the Business Change Manager to establish change as a recognised service across the whole business, whilst increasing performance and quality. Acting as an agent of change in all interactions, the role will help to drive continuous review and build of frameworks, build out of Change communities, adoption of tools, techniques, and delivery of the broader business change agenda.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring all Business Change programmes, projects & initiatives are planned, resourced, managed, implemented, and reported against in accordance with the overall governance framework & quality criteria
- Identifying change adoption strategies and solutions throughout the firm, incorporating change methodologies (identifying the most appropriate method is key to this role) to deliver adoption and sustainable outcomes aligned to the specified benefits
- Programme / Project Management of the implementation of approved business improvement initiatives; ensuring each project delivers against the objectives and ‘return on investment’ detailed within the business case
- Scoping out the approach and producing a plan to gain effective stakeholder / sponsor buy in and understanding prior to delivery
- Provision of updates on progress, issues, and proposed changes / solutions to the key stakeholders in a timely and effective manner at all stages of the delivery and change lifecycle
- Production of clear and detailed business cases which capture the change objective, options, the proposed change/solution, a risk impact assessment, and adoption model to best realise the return on investment
- Provision of central updates on progress against the delivery plans to the Business Change Manager
- Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and the BC&D management team to support the ongoing strategic business delivery plan
- Measuring and monitoring the success of business change projects and operational launch to ensure they are performing in line with the business case and the anticipated return on investment
- Working collaboratively with individuals, teams, departments, and key stakeholders across the firm to ensure a joined-up approach is adopted at all times
- Working collaboratively with project management and continuous improvement (teams) to ensure the business is aware of the initiatives being implemented and ensure any change is coordinated and embedded
- Scoping and monitoring the external and internal environment to ensure a forward-thinking approach is adopted, risks & issues are identified, managed and sustainable solutions are best adopted
- Line management and development of the business change leads and training team members

**Technical skills, Qualifications and Experience**
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience leading change projects, ideally whilst also managing a team of change specialists within a professional services firm or working as a consultant (ideally within the legal sector)
- Demonstrable experience of adopting a ‘consulting’ and ‘solution’ focused approach
- Experience of managing change delivery and adoption covering a broad remit of deliverables focussing on people, culture, technology and process change
- Sound understanding of the legal (or similar) sector
- Experience of running programmes and projects which introduce organisational and process change to business functions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good analytical skills and acute business acumen for organisational issues, challenges and building and executing strategic plans
- Excellent IT skills with good understanding and experience of using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
