Old London Road Café is a new independent business, a hidden gem just off Kingston High Street and we aim to stand out from other like businesses in the area through guest satisfaction, inspired baristas, fine coffee, ambience, and value for money.

Old London Road Café exists to serve every guest the best variety of great coffee, fresh food, at a reasonable price, in an easy, airy, attractive, and clean environment. Our talented baristas use only fresh, top-quality ingredients, while being skillful and striving to consistently deliver pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient service.

**JOB ROLE**

As a member of the front of house team, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our patrons. Your primary responsibilities will include serving food and drinks, basic food preparation of sandwiches and salads, engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organised work area, and upholding high standards of customer service. By delivering efficient service and fostering a friendly atmosphere, you will contribute to the overall success and reputation of the business.

You will be expected to follow company policies and procedures, with particular attention to health and safety, licensing, and equality and diversity. To further your development and knowledge you will be expected to attend training as necessary. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing excellent customer service to all patrons of the cafe.
- Preparing and serving coffee, non-alcoholic, and alcoholic beverages.
- Operating point-of-sale systems and handling credit and debit card transactions.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the premises.
- Checking identification and enforcing age restrictions for alcohol service.
- Assisting in maintaining stock levels, restocking, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Participating in regular training sessions to improve service quality and product knowledge.
- Adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements related to alcohol service, health and safety, and licensing laws.

Pay: £10.18-£11.44 per hour
