Severfield Nuclear and Infrastructure are looking for an Apprentice Detailer to join our drawing office team, based at our site in Lostock, Bolton.

You will be working alongside our in-house design and steel detailing teams using the latest Tekla Structures 3D modelling software to progress structural steel design and production of information for use in our manufacturing and construction sites. As part of the apprenticeship, you will receive the training required to develop your CAD skills and job knowledge to a level of proficiency and confidence where you will be responsible for liaising with Architectural and Engineering teams to coordinate detailing requirements for the final assembled structure and production of material reports and drawings including GA (General Arrangement Drawings), fabrication and site erection packages.

Applicants need to have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (Grade 9 - 4 /A*- C) in Maths, English and Science or equivalent. We are looking for people who have a passion, a natural interest in constriction, along with analytical, problem-solving skills. To be successful you will need to demonstrate why you want to be part of working in the construction industry through digital engineering and design. Computer literacy is essential, and be competent in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Hours of work are 7:30am - 4pm Monday -Thursday and 7:30am-2:30pm Friday.
