Our esteemed law firm client, that holds the well being of all close to their heart, are currently in search of a HR Assistant to join their diverse and inclusive team on a 12 month FTC. This is a valuable opportunity allowing a passionate, driven individualto gain superlative experience within their close-knit HR team, opening the door to the legal sector.
Key duties will include:
- Assisting in the administrative duties and providing support to the HR team.
- Preparation of offer paperwork for new joiners.
- Liaising with new joiners to ensure tasks are completed accordingly.
- Co-ordinating and updating new joiner, leaver and change checklists.
- Preparation for new joiner induction packs, schedules, room bookings and assisting on the day as required.
- Log absences on the database (currently ADP), ensuring notifications, back-up paperwork and file-notes are appropriately held.
- In union with the HR Manager and HR Officer, ensure any relative payroll changes are documented and forwarded to the relevant department in a timely manner. Following all proper communication and procedures have been followed/documented.
- Maintain and follow-up on regular reports / spreadsheets - such as VinciWorks, DocuSign, End of Probation, End of Fixed Term contract etc.
- Assist the HR team with any administration duties across both offices, taking meeting minutes as required during employee relations meetings.
- General administration assistance to the HR Officer, HR Manager and HR team across both offices.
- Proficient in HRIS systems.
Job requirements:
- Previous HR experience or CIPD qualification (desirable).
- Experience of working in a law firm or a partnership environment (desirable).
- An understanding of employment law.
- Ability to build credibility and strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Able to communicate at all levels with clarity, timeliness and appropriateness to achieve a positive outcome.
- Able to prioritise and plan work effectively to meet the expectations of internal and external clients.
- High level of attention to detail, appreciating the need for accurate and error free work.
- Good organisational skills.
