We are currently recruiting for a Head of Planning, who will be responsible for the management and delivery of a market leading, on time inspection regime through effective forward and real time planning. Our core culture, customer obsession will drive your approach to leading the team.

You will manage the operational development team to continually improve the effectiveness of planning tools and techniques. Whilst also being responsible for building a forward looking plan to maximise efficiency and customer service. You will report to the Operations Director and work with leaders across the business to ensure business goals are achieved. This role is based in our Manchester Office with the opportunity to visit our customers and wider group offices occasionally.

**What will I be doing?**

As the Head of Planning, you will be responsible for the overall management of the planning teams including operational development.

You will:

- Ensure all customer contact is handled within the defined SLA’s
- Support business growth by working closely with both central resource planning and the sales teams
- Drive surveyor utilisation through diaries filled with confirmed appointments
- Represent planning with both our internal and external customers
- Ensure that customer obsession drives all business processes
- Lead, motivate and performance manage our planning team members
- Build successful relationships across the Group to maximise effective usage of central planning
- Contribute to the broader leadership of the business - Health and Safety, recruitment, change projects
- Ensure a culture where Health and Safety is the No 1 priority for the team, fully adopting the Group’s resources and guidance
- Manage the performance and development of the team via agreed measures to ensure delivery against business targets and our customer service proposition
- Manage the performance procedures of the team, with HR support, and ensure a thorough performance management process is in place and enforced.
- Identify and develop team talent for long-term careers within the organisation
- Support the broader leadership of the business e.g. via input to planning process, continuous improvement and project participation
- You will work with other business' within the group to ensure that we share resource planning and planning tools to ensure efficiency and best practice across the group
