Position:
Head of Estates

Salary:
£50,000 per annum + Company Car

Location:
Remote (3 days a week in field)

About Your Role


Reporting directly into a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a vital part in developing and overseeing our property strategy.

You will be responsible for managing our site maintenance officers across multiple sites and be the key point of contact for contractors, service managers and the senior leadership team as the expert on all property and asset management matters.

Your day to day duties will include;

  • Providing strong leadership to SMOs and Works Operatives
  • Overseeing and monitoring all planned, reactive and preventative maintenance programmes
  • Identifying opportunities cost savings whilst maintaining a quality and timely delivery of property services
  • Monitoring and controlling all property related Opex and Capex costs in line with agreed budgets
  • Undertaking site visits and attending project planning meetings as required
  • To ensure the property services teams review and assess all local environmental risks and repair any faults in a timely manner
  • Working closely with the Operations teams to ensure a safe and high quality environment that meets the needs of our colleagues and the people we support
  • Ensuring all health and safety systems are monitored and complied with at all times taking swift action to follow up on all incidents and areas of noncompliance
You will need;

  • Knowledge of building construction regulations and Fire regulations
  • Knowledge of property management and systems
  • Good understanding of Local planning processes and building regulations
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Experience of overseeing a portfolio of health and social care properties
  • Resilience with great attention to detail
