Large, established & friendly medical practice with a multi-disciplinary team made up 4 main partners, salaried GP’s and clinical & office support staff offering a range of services for the local community.
**Job description**
Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately. Signpost patients to the correct service. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies. Photocopy documentation as required. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required. Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary. Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team. Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner. Carry out system searches as requested. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times. Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards. Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
**Person Specification**
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills. Clear & polite telephone manner. Strong IT skills and proficient in the use of MS Office and Outlook.

Polite and confident. Flexible and cooperative. Motivated forward thinker. High levels of integrity and loyalty. Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations. Ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility to work outside of core office hours as practice is open from 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. The 35 hours will be split over the week in shifts (early & late) during these times. There will be an opporunity for extra hours for holiday and sickness cover.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.42-£11.00 per hour
