We have an exciting opportunity available for a Medical Assistant role within to support the Practice Service Improvement Manager.

As a Medical Assistant you will build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to establish pathways of health and social care conducive to patient needs. Signposting patients to relevant services, groups and teams to help enhance their care pathway will be a vital part of this role.

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 6 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING

If you are an internal applicant this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

**The post holder will be expected to**:

- Support Practice Service Improvement Manager.
- Develop a rapport and professional relationships with individuals
- Be responsible for the daily clinical correspondence received and ensure distribution to the most appropriate Health Care Professional for action.
- Work independently to manage the clinical administration workflow.
- Be proficient in the use of the VISION software system, and any of its future versions, to be able to input, search and extract data where appropriate, conduct audits, access patient documents and results, support the Health Care Professionals to maintain accurate, up-to-date, comprehensive and contemporaneous patient records
