The Knowledge Management function within DDTS is recruiting for a Knowledge Management Administrator role. You will be working in the Knowledge Team to support the wider Defra Knowledge Community with IT support.

As Knowledge Management Administrator, your primary role will be to support the Knowledge Team to improve efficiency by reducing the need to rediscover knowledge. It is a dynamic role which will present opportunities to support and assist the wider stakeholder groups within Defra to advance continuous improvements to our IT support.

A wide variety of training is provided to ensure you can successfully fulfil the role.

**Responsibilities**
- The Knowledge Administrator will contribute to an overall Defra Service Now Knowledge Management strategy which defines the approach to Knowledge Management and outlines the alignment to the wider IT and Business Strategy
- The Knowledge Administrator will contribute to the definition of the standards and governance frameworks which will be operationalised to execute effective Knowledge Management across Defra. This will include integrating all suppliers to ensure maximum knowledge capture and access to materials. Additionally, the Knowledge Administrator will support the Knowledge Analyst and Knowledge Managers to ensure that the quality of knowledge management work undertaken by Knowledge Champions (Suppliers and Business) meets the standard and Governance set by Defra
- Contribute to defining Knowledge Processes, tooling and technology standards including Knowledge acceptance criteria
- Contribute to Performance measures
- The Knowledge Administrator will work with the Knowledge Team and the Service Now Tool Admin Team to agree the tooling requirements including Knowledge Bases, approvers, formats, Knowledge Article (KA) formats, etc
- The Knowledge Administrator will be required to work with the Knowledge Analyst / Managers and Suppliers to ensure that any knowledge transfer is completed prior to any service going live
- On a yearly basis the Knowledge Administrator will contribute to a review of the Knowledge Management Strategy to ensure it is delivering against business expectations and is aligned to the wider IT strategy

**Skills and experience**
- Proficient in using MS Office tools
- A familiarity with the concept of Knowledge Management
- Good communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent customer care skills

**Salary**: £22,150.00-£25,344.00 per year
