**OVERVIEW OF POSITION**

This position plays a key part in ensuring onshore operations within our workshop are carried out in a safe and organised manner, allowing our equipment to be delivered to our clients on time and ready for utilisation.

Taking the lead in implementing QHSE initiatives, this position will actively be involved in continuous improvement activities.

**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**

Workshop Management
- Supervision of workshop team members including continuous personal development activities
- Allocation of daily tasks for workshop team in line with required work lists
- Supervision of sub-contractors and suppliers whilst working within the workshop facility

Technical support
- Support the development of preventative maintenance systems
- Support the Technical Manager in equipment fault reporting
- Assist the Buyer, when needed, in sourcing and procurement of technical material and equipment in line with required specifications
- Maintain work lists for equipment maintenance with active hands-on involvement through to completion
- Conduct QA checks of company equipment prior to project shipment

QHSE responsibilities
- Responsibility for the day-to-day QHSE requirements of the workshop facility, including adherence to current Health & Safety at Work act, LOLER, EAWR, COSHH regulations, and IMCA safety guidelines in line with Company procedures
- Drive QHSE activities within the business, identifying areas for improvement
- Support the implement and communication of QHSE procedures throughout the business
- Assist with external audit accreditation programmes.

**KEY MEASURES**
- Documentation/ certification and records maintained and in line with HSEQ requirements
- Successful completion of audits
- Work lists completed within specified time scale and budget
- Support activities for team members established and maintained
- Equipment ready for mobilisation and deployment
- Workshop maintained and fit for purpose

**FORMAL EDUCATION**
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) within technical qualification (preferably electrical)

**TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE**

Training
- IOSH Managing Safety (or formal recognised QHSE qualification)
- Overhead crane (10 tonne)
- Forklift (5 and 8 tonne)
- High Voltage isolation techniques
- First Aid at work

Experience
- Supervisory experience
- Purchasing and inventory management systems
- Control systems
- Quality assurance techniques
- Hydraulic and mechanical awareness

**KEY BEHAVIOURS**

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills with all levels of the organisation

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**

Limited travel may be required as part of this position including but not limited to Company or client worksites (including offshore work scopes when required)

**Salary**: £37,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
