**TEXO Recruitment **are currently recruiting on behalf of our internal client **TEXO Port Services**, a division of the **TEXO Group** based in **Blyth Northumberland**,after securing another fantastic contract and as a result have a requirement for a **QA/ QC Fabrication Inspector** to join the current team on a **permanent **basis.

**Purpose of the Role**:
Reporting into the Operations Director, the role of the QA / QC Inspector supports the **TEXO Port Services** Facility in South Harbour, Port of Blyth to meet the company quality objectives defined in ISO 9001 and DNV standards along with client requirements on a project specific basis.

You will also work directly with the Project Managers, Supervisors and Tradesmen to make sure that the relevant inspections are being performed prior, during and on completion of fabrication projects, ensuring quality during the process.

**Area(s) of Responsibility**:

- Quality Control and assurance of purchased, fabricated and finished products
- Maintenance and improvement of Company QMS
- Drive to continually improve the standard of quality compliance and awareness across all functions
- Promote a proactive commitment to **TEXO** Quality improvement initiatives

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain regular overview of workshop quality, based on company QMS and client specifications
- Carry out periodic audits and updates of **TEXO** QMS and client procedures in accordance with the approved method statement and inspection & test plan
- Report, investigate, resolve and close out quality non-conformances. Generate non-conformance reports and CARs
- Maintain and update project and client MRB records, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction / observations, material certification and other QA / QC records
- Carry out Internal and External Audits on / offsite as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan or ITP
- Assist **TEXO** staff to understand company QMS requirements

**Essential Skills**:

- Numerate, analytical and logical
- Ability to use own initiative to effectively manage own workload and work within given timescales to ensure that project requirements are met
- Excellent knowledge of CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 policy, procedure and certification
- Ability to manage expediting requirements with a proven ability of fostering relationships internally and externally
- Sound knowledge of quality standards and development of internal QM Systems.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective processes, controls and performance measures
