Summary We’re looking for an IT Asset Manager to help us take a proactive and hands on approach to IT Asset Management (ITAM). We’re looking for an individual who has experience of working within an IT Asset Management team. A willingness to continuallylearn and share knowledge is a must, in a forever developing landscape. What it'slike to work here You will be joining an IT Operations team of 15, who are keen, relaxed, service minded IT professionals who really want to drive forward the maturity and efficiency around IT Operations in line with the needs of the Trust. The team cover various ITIL functionsand disciplines.

In terms of ITAM, we’re working on developing our maturity level in this field. But we have some great tools at our disposal, and strong relationships to build on. The IT teams are very keen to assist employees to gain certifications or experience in areasthey are interested in as this has a huge benefit to the organisation. As the knowledge of employees improves so does the organisation.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith stakeholders and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing You’ll be part of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) function who are part of the larger IT team. We’ll be looking for someone to work within IT Operations but also collaborate closely and build up strong relationships with the various internal technical teamsand third-party vendors to the Trust in relation to ITAM.

You’ll manage inventory of CIs and assets to ensure that we are capturing the right detail and remain compliant with our vendors and provide a service for the purchase and renewal of licences.

You’ll identify process improvement opportunities and ways to automate actions to allow the team more time to develop other areas of ITAM. You’ll also contribute towards financial reporting.

For this positionwe’re looking for someone who has:

- Knowledge of licensing agreements and terminology involving software, particularly with Tier one vendors such as Microsoft and Oracle
- Knowledge and experience of Snow License Manager and associated discovery/ITSM toolsets e.g., ServiceNow
- A wide understanding of hardware and software, and how those aspects map into the end user experience
- Keen attention to detail and a data driven mindset
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ITIL v3 or v4
