**About the Role**

You will be the initial point of contact for potential new clients and will be responsible for gathering all relevant information and providing this to the Fee Earners who will assess the merits of pursuing a legal claim. You will be required to provide feedback on the decision made by the Fee Earner including relevant sign posting where we cannot assist and an explanation of the funding options and retainer documentation where we are able to pursue a claim on their behalf.

If you have previous Fee Earning experience in addition to the above, you will be responsible for assessing each enquiry and taking the relevant decision as to whether we can pursue a claim on their behalf.

**What you will be doing**:

- Setting the tone of the initial client journey in accordance with our company values.
- Guiding potential new enquiries through the assessment decision making process and providing them with the relevant support
- Liaising with the Fee Earning team and potential clients in relation to obtaining the relevant information required to assess new claims.
- Accurately record all relevant information and data relating to new enquiries within the firm’s case management system.
- Open files and generate the correct Client Retainer documents on the case management system.
- Explain to the client the funding options available to pursue their claim.
- Monitor own task list daily to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Adhere to our client always promise.

**What you will need**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- It is essential that you have an empathetic and calm nature.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with client data.
- High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
- Law Degree is preferred but not essential.
- Previous legal experience is preferred, although is not essential as full training will be provided.
