About the Opportunity
We're seeking a dedicated Claims Advisor to join our dynamic team at Suncorp Group. As a Claims Advisor, you will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of claims from lodgement to resolution, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support during their time of need.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of claims, assessing and investigating claims to ensure that our customers receive fair and reasonable treatment and rehabilitation needs.
- Investigate claims, interpreting medical documents and ensuring legislative compliance timeframes are met.
- Provide an excellent level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, including customers, healthcare professionals, and legal representatives.
- Calculate settlement offers, negotiate settlements, and attend settlement conferences with lawyers and Counsel.
- Display behaviours that contribute to and drive a positive culture within the team.
What We're Looking For
- A customer-focused individual with previous experience in a high-paced, high-volume environment.
- Someone who is resilient in nature, with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong time manager, problem solver, and negotiator with the ability to make decisions and be empowered.
- A keen willingness to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Good computer skills and the ability to upskill to learn new computer systems and programs.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the personal injury or insurance industry is desirable.
