**Digital Marketing and Communications Manager**

They are looking for a new Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to increase their reach and raise their engagement effectiveness. You could be part of a small but dynamic team making a difference in the electrical profession.

**The Role**

To lead on planning and managing marketing activities for the company in line with the strategy and communications plans of the the organisation (for England, Wales and Northern Ireland)

**Role Objectives**
- An integral part of the Team helping to promote the positive, exciting opportunities in a highly digital sector with focus on future skills and low carbon technology
- Engage with the electrical contracting industry and wider electrotechnical industry organisations to increase participation for the company through digital resources
- Deliver compelling messages to individuals that support increased demand for ECS accreditation and companies to support membership and promote use of digital platforms
- Work with a range of partner organisations to raise support for and the profile of ECS accreditation and company membership
- Undertake a proactive role to support the wider industry, highlighting the development routes for ECS and encouraging wider interaction from non-traditional sectors
- Protect the company brands

**Key Responsibilities will include**:
**General**
- Leading on all general marketing activities for the company to support the strategic objectives of the organisation
- Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing activity and events and compiling evaluation reports for the Boards and Committees
- Managing social media accounts and campaigns
- Securing feedback, testimonials and case study material for promotional activity
- Work to increase levels of collaboration and engagement with contractors, training providers and operatives
- Researching new markets to identify demand for new and existing events and opportunities with partners and stakeholders
- Building client relationships to promote ECS Check systems digital platforms

**Marketing**
- Lead on the development and maintenance of the marketing content on the company's website recognising its importance as the company’s primary marketing tool
- Lead on the creation and publication of digital marketing material
- Creating a wide range of marketing materials, which could include leaflets, posters, blogs and online articles, and newsletters as part of integrated software systems
- Planning and implementing marketing campaigns including videos and webinar series
- Writing and proof-reading copy
- Working with the Head of Membership to manage and develop member and prospect databases including the development of segmented mailing lists using the CRM or other resources
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications/campaigns
- Ensure effective internal communication to ensure staff are aware of marketing initiatives
- Analysing and developing potential strategic partner relationships that assist with company marketing
- Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
- Monitoring competitor activity

**Events Management**

Leading on aspects of administration of the events, to include:

- Work with staff to secure venues, schedule dates, assist with speaker invites, arrange audio-visual requirements and manage the marketing and invite lists for company events (including webinar or online events)
- Arranging for catering and refreshments at the events and social functions
- Making arrangements with speakers, VIPs and guests for their travel, accommodation, remuneration, biographies and presentations, etc
- With the Administration team, arrange necessary printing event materials
- Preparing delegate packs and papers in association with the team
- Working with the Head of Membership to determine strategy for events
- Working with Head of Head of Growth to determine strategy for events
- Leading on the marketing of conferences / forums to delegates
- Working with design agencies as necessary
