**Proven minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role.**

The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Cared for Teams and Young Persons Team including the minuting of Strategy Meetings & other Professional meetings as and required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Type formal reports, letters, memos, and any other appropriate correspondence.
- Organise the collation and filing of reports, files, registers, and any other appropriate records in relation to the work of the Cared for Teams and Young Persons Team.
- Attend Strategy Meetings and any other meetings when necessary and to act as minute taker where appropriate.
- Undertake reception duties on behalf of the of the Cared for Teams and Young Persons Team.
- Maintain appropriate records of work undertaken and to comply with required administrative procedures, particularly the liaison with other agencies.
- Provide administrative support to the Cared for Teams and Young Persons Team.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail & telephone handling.
- Prepare for and attend supervision sessions and staff meetings.
- Participate in available training, and developmental activities as required.
- Contribute as appropriate to developments within Children’s Services.
- Undertake any other duties as directed from time to time to meet the exigencies of the service.

**Qualifications**:

- OCR (RSA II) qualification or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
- Word Processing qualification/experience.
- GCSE English and Maths (grades A-C) or equivalent NVQ qualifications.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proven clerical experience.
- Work as part of a team.
- Experience in providing the full range of word processing services in an office environment.
- Proven experience of minute-taking in a formal setting
- Ability to work confidently with IT software packages - e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
