**We’re shaping our future with brilliant apprentices like you**
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a Housing Apprentice. You’ll be employed for a 15-month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career You’ll start at NVQ Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) with a possible progression to Level 3 (equivalent to A-levels).
Our award-winning apprenticeship programme has been designed to get you on the career ladder How awesome is that? Don’t be put off by the word apprentice as you can be any age to apply.
The great news is that many apprentices secure a permanent role with us, who knows where your future will end up
So, what’s so great about this apprenticeship? Well, your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on
Our Apprentices have said "Working at Home Group enables me to do what I love, receive a wage and develop my skills" and "I would happily tell anyone thinking of becoming an apprentice that it provides a worthwhile qualification and experience that could lead to a very good career".
**About the role***
You’ll support our housing team covering our housing patch in Essex, including Chelmsford, Colchester and the surrounding areas. The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in our local, serviced office in Chelmsford and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.
As a Housing Apprentice, no two days are the same. You could be helping someone move in, supporting someone with money worries, sorting out a neighbour problem or helping support customers with plans to move in
Other days you could be out helping with estate inspections or community involvement days and there’s always lots of administration tasks to be completed - contacting customers and monitoring and processing information on our electronic housing systems.
As an apprentice, you’re willing to learn and are enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced housing environment. You’ll pick up lots of skills you didn’t realise you would gain whilst working in Housing which will help you in your long-term career goal, whatever that maybe. Who knows you could be our future Housing Manager
As you develop your skills, and get to know us, our customers and the business, it’s really important that you’re at work when your colleagues are around to support and guide you. This means that you’ll work between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll always have the support of team members to help you.
We’ll offer support, assistance and guidance all the way with your training too, so rest assured you will be supported in all aspects of your role and meeting your key objectives.
If you feel like this is the job for you, please apply. We can’t wait to welcome you to the team and to Home Group
**What’s on offer**
Our apprenticeship programme is a combination of a nationally accredited professional qualification, a competitive salary as well as a fantastic range of benefits. It will make a real difference to your life inside and outside of work. Find out more in our apprenticeship information pack.
Our apprentices say, ‘So pleased I will be getting an NUS (student discount) card from my employer - another reason to say that Home Group is a great place to work.’
To top this off, we also have a full recognition scheme including an annual Apprentice Award Ceremony - will you be our next future Star?
