**Role Title**:
Wildlife and Education Centre Assistant.

**Reporting To**:
Wildlife and Education Centre Supervisor

**Role Description**:
The main focus of the Wildlife and Education Centre Assistant is to carry out all of the necessary husbandry responsibilities and procedures, caring for all of our species onsite.

**These responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring there is the necessary and adequate food and water each day.
- Cleaning and maintaining habitation.
- Completing and maintaining documentation.
- General communication with the staff and visitors.
- Ensuring enclosures and gates are safe and secure at all times
- Working with safety in mind
- Prevent cross contamination by using correct methods given
- Generally keep the site clean and tidy, litter is collected and disposed of when necessary
- Defect reporting
- Could be requested to use company vehicles to run errands or collect material.
- Provide cover for colleagues as and when required

**Person Specification;**
- Confident around all animals
- Previous animal experience
- Punctual
- Hard working
- Conscientious to work and others
- Well mannered
- Full UK driving Licence and have the use of own transport

This is a great opportunity for someone who is genuinely committed to working with animals. The ideal applicant would have previous animal handling experience.

**Position Schedule**:
**Transportation and housing**:

- A full UK driving licence is require due to the occasional use of company transportation.
- Onsite accommodation is available in the near future for the applicant at a nominal rental fee. Please request this information during an interview.

**Position Availability**:
Immediate start is available

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
