In this role, you will be a crucial supportive figure for the Post Graduate Programme Manager, primarily focusing on assisting PhD students and graduate teaching assistants. Your typical day will involve monitoring the eligibility of submissions, answering student queries, checking work plans, and offering tailored advice to students. Your ability to conduct training sessions and handle administrative tasks with high attention to detail will be vital. This position demands a professional demeanour, strong document preparation skills, and the capability to self-manage effectively.

**Operations Officer Key Responsibilities**:

- Offer comprehensive support to PhD students and graduate teaching assistants.
- Conduct and operate 1-to-1 and group training sessions weekly.
- Handle student queries with clarity and efficiency, and monitor and manage the submission and assessment processes.
- Provide additional administrative assistance to the Faculty Office, including inbox management, meeting coordination, and committee servicing.
- Assist with financial matters such as purchase orders, expenses, and budget management, and aid in the preparation of reports and data for Faculty and university initiatives.
- Engage in Faculty-wide communications, representing the Faculty at various meetings and events.

**Operations Officer** **Essential Skills**:

- Proven experience in higher education, particularly with programme management.
- Strong data management skills, with proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to work independently, with a conscientious and detailed approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 weeks

**Salary**: £17.60 per hour
