**Retrofit Assessor**

We are looking for a proactive Retrofit Assessor to join our Operations Team delivering technical retrofit Pathways and Coordinating outputs for our clients and partners.

**What **we’ll be asking you to do**

In this role as Retrofit Assessor you will be liaising with Project Managers to identify priorities, outputs required and desired measures for Pathways and Retrofit Coordination (RC) outputs. Your activities will vary from day to day, encompassing elements of retrofit coordination and energy services underpinned by Sero’s unique services and products. You will conduct technical reviews of surveys and Retrofit Assessments using DEA, Retrofit Assessor or equivalent knowledge.

This role heavily falls within the housing sector but due to the nature of the work we do, will incorporate elements of utilities, building services, technology development, renewables, design to zero carbon and delivery of energy services. You will:

- Create Pathways and RC outputs using tools developed by Sero
- Model Pathway steps using third party software in instances where the buildings’ features are beyond scope of the Excel tool
- Liaise with Sero technical experts to find bespoke solutions for buildings which present challenges
- Test new Excel tools, fix minor bugs and report more complex errors
- Keep up to date with changes to industry retrofit standards such as SAP and PAS2035
- Report ideas for improvements of the process for efficiency
- Accompany Sero technical experts on site visits, helping to reinforce growing technical knowledge

To be successful in the job straight away you will need:

- To be organised and self-motivated
- To be technically capable and able to work independently
- To be communicative and articulate
- Be comfortable working with a team that operates flexibly and remotely much of the time
- DEA level 3 qualified
- Qualified Retrofit Assessor Status or Equivalent experience
- Completed recent Retrofit Coordination CPD
- Experience with some of the following systems;
- Excel
- Elmhurst in Design
- Stroma FSAP
- Monday
- Slack
- Teams
- Adobe Pro
- Microsoft Office
- Miro
- Confluence
- FortiClient

It would be great (but not essential) if you also had any of the following:

- Relevant professional qualifications such as RICS, RIBA, CIOB, CIBSE, MCS, or a degree in a relevant field.
- Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management
- V11 DEA conventions training
- Experience with any of the following:

- PAS2035 retrofit standard
- Other zero carbon or energy efficiency standards such as Passivhaus
- Working as, or closely with, a Retrofit Coordinator or Retrofit Assessor
- Specifying, designing, installing or having knowledge of Solar PV, Heat Pumps, or other renewable energy system
- Specifying, designing or installing other energy efficiency measures such as building fabric improvements
- Construction Management or delivering construction projects on site
- Long-term ambitions to develop a career in zero carbon housing or construction
