**Join Our Team as Head of Inclusion at Tradewind**
Are you passionate about promoting an inclusive culture where every child can thrive and achieve their best? Do you have a strong strategic vision for supporting children with special needs and identifying those who need additional support? If so, Tradewind School invites you to join us as our new Head of Inclusion
**Your Mission**: Your mission will be to promote an inclusive ethos throughout the school, ensuring that every child, regardless of background or ability, has equal opportunities to flourish. You will be a role model, exemplifying professionalism and high expectations to create a culture of excellence and personal responsibility.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Understanding and Support**: Promote contextual understandings of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) difficulties in children and young people, ensuring improved outcomes for our students and their families.
- ** Collaborative Development**: Work with the Headteacher, staff, and governors to develop and review strategies that align with our school's Vision Statement, continuously striving for excellence.
- ** Provision Mapping**: Ensure appropriate provision is made for all children across the curriculum by maintaining a register of children with specific needs and vulnerable groups, with provision mapping in place.
- ** Target Setting and Assessment**: Utilise pupil data to set targets for raising achievement among pupils with special educational needs, providing effective individual or group programs where required.
- ** Collaboration and Professional Relationships**: Build strong professional relationships with colleagues, seeking advice and specialist support as needed to enhance our inclusive practices.
- ** Continuous Development**: Take responsibility for personal professional development, responding to feedback and training opportunities to continuously improve your practices.
- ** Effective Communication**: Communicate effectively with children and colleagues, actively listening and engaging with others in a courteous and respectful manner.
**Requirements**:
- A passion for promoting inclusivity and supporting children with diverse needs.
- Demonstrable experience in leading inclusion initiatives within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and SEMH difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive and supportive environment.
- An approachable and proactive attitude, ready to collaborate and lead change.
To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
- have satisfactory references
- have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
