Position Summary

**Position Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 month), Home-based with UK-wide travel as required**
The National Account Executive’s role is to support the National Account Manager with the effective management of key accounts. Through your work on these accounts, you will drive an increase in market share and profitability, aligned to the commercial and brand strategies.
Ensuring delivery of our mission - to be the UK’s fastest-growing, most admired premium spirits portfolio.
To achieve this, you will be highly motivated, commercially astute with fantastic interpersonal skills and represent category leading, keeping pace with a rapidly evolving marketplace, and anticipating future trends.
You will have a value-added approach to sales and be driven to deliver success in this important area of our business.
Job Description
Lead the management of your customer relationships, maximising opportunities for the joint benefit of Edrington UK and our customers and take ownership for the delivery of financial and brand objectives.
Always operate using the guidance of the Operating Document and considering our guiding principle - customers at the heart of all we do.

**Customer Management**
Continuously monitor the customer performance to identify opportunities and minimise risks
Build strategic partnerships with customers
Motivate customers to purchase, promote and ensure visibility for our brands
Work with category development and customer marketing teams to develop, implement and maintain strategic and bespoke account plans in line with our channel vision
Create and implement joint business plans with your accounts to achieve the objectives of both Edrington UK and the customer
Achieve KPIs and financial growth targets
Work with the NAM to ensure objectives and financial alignments are achieved.

**Relationship Management**
Keep your customers at the heart of everything you do
Ensure you understand your customer key business priorities
Frequent time in store to understand the customer environment as well as their consumers
Hold regular customer performance reviews and evaluate effectiveness to ensure delivery of objectives
Develop appropriate key contact strategy and deploy this to maximum effect across relevant accounts and key stakeholders
Act as the champion for your customer and develop relationships with key internal colleagues ensuring cross-functional teamwork to help deliver success

**Systems & Administration**
Ensure all volume and spend forecasts are accurately recorded in Hyperion.
Constantly analyse all available data and insights (including competitor and market trends) and use them appropriately for effective management and delivery of all objectives
Maintain accurate account files and manage the trade promotion and accrual process for your accounts
Report monthly on successes, challenges and competitor activity
Complete all T&E expenses monthly and in line with the T&E policy.
Skills and Experience
- Customer focused
- Strong analytical skills and a good degree of commercial awareness
- Ability to understand and analyse financial and category data.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High levels of energy, optimism and resilience required to operate to a high standard in a fast-paced environment
- A laser focus on the customer/shopper is also required
- Experience of influencing and negotiation with customers is essential
- Ability to influence the wider team to support customer and personal development
- The ability to turn a complex problem into a simple solution
