**Role: Credit Control Supervisor**

**Location: Wythenshawe - Hybrid**

**Role Purpose**

To support the Credit Control Manager in the execution of their duties including the management of their section of the Credit Control team on a day-to-day basis.

To ensure payment terms are adhered to in order to optimise company cash flow and support the DSO target.

To investigate and resolve customer queries in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction and to prevent delays to receiving payment, escalating internally if required.

To provide an excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Providing active and enthusiastic supervision to the Credit Control team
- Support the management of team, including regular 121s, bi-annual performance reviews and effective performance management
- Have a good understanding of both internal and external customer requirements, engaging with them to build strong relationships delivering excellent customer service
- Investigate, isolate, and resolve queried invoices on collections system
- Collect payment from third party and intercompany clients on an assigned ledger
- Manage the assigned debt ledger using various techniques to improve the ageing profile
- Proactively manage your customer accounts to ensure that cash is collected in a timely manner in line with the agreed credit terms
- Register invoice disputes in a timely fashion on the GetPaid Credit Collections tool.
- Prepare weekly KPI data on their reports for review with Credit Control Manager
- Report to Credit Control Manager weekly regarding the current status of all large debtors along with ad-hoc escalation as required
- Ensure month end deadlines are met
- Support the delivery of continuous improvement in Credit Control to deliver a more efficient and effective service
- Support with training the team as required
- Coach, support, and develop team to enforce best practice
- Implementation of corrective measures for under performers
- Achieve agreed Credit Control service levels and support the Credit Control Manager in monitoring performance against KPIs
- Assist the Credit Control Manager with internal audit, external audit, and internal control queries
- Support projects and perform ad-hoc duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- ACICM qualification

**Experience & Skills**:

- Demonstrable Credit Control experience, ideally managing business to business accounts
- Team management experience preferable
- Customer focussed approach, dealing efficiently and effectively with all internal and external contacts at various levels
- Collaborative approach, able to work with others as part of a team and to support the mentoring of colleagues
- Effective communicator, both verbal and written
- Able to work to deadlines and manage priorities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisation skills and effective time management
- Strong, resilient character
- Advanced level excel
