**Background**:
The Faculty of Actuarial Science and Insurance seeks to appoint a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Insurance and Risk Management (Research and Education or Education track). This position will be full-time with an expected start date of September 2023.

**Responsibilities**:
You will design and deliver high quality education and teach undergraduate and graduate courses on insurance and risk management topics, including large-lecture and online classes. You will play a full and active role as a member of the Faculty of Actuarial Science and Insurance and have the opportunity to play a major role in educational leadership in the school.

All applicants are required to have a sound knowledge of insurance and/or risk and an understanding of the role of insurance in risk management processes.** **You will support and develop the teaching of the school in relevant areas of insurance and risk.

**Person Specification**:
Applicants for Senior Lecturer positions on the Research and Education track must have a strong track record, and a strong research pipeline, or high-quality published research.

Essential skills and experience for all applicants include teaching experience, exam and/or coursework marking, good interpersonal and communications skills and experience of team-working and co-operation in the academic environment.

**Additional Information**:
City offers a sector-leading salary, pension scheme and benefits including a comprehensive package of staff training and development.

In August 2023 salary rates will increase to £49,794 pa (minimum point) to 73,040 pa (maximum point) The maximum point includes discretionary points.
